Y O U R I N S T R U C T O R S Tracy Young has trained as a Birth Doula with Doula Training Canada, is a Certified Nutrition Consultant and Yoga Instructor. Tracy is very passionate about the miraculous beauty of conception, pregnancy, and the incredibly amazing power of a woman giving birth. I believe that preparing the body and mind for birth and motherhood is an essential daily practice. It is my goal to help woman and their partners prepare for a more comfortable pregnancy and birth by practicing birth positions, breathing, visualizations, and crafting a nourishing diet. Connecting you to your body's strength and wisdom on an intimate level so that you can work with it in birth and return to optimal function postpartum.
Carrie Murphy-Green is the owner of Pickles and Ice Cream Birth Services. She has been attending births as a doula since 2010 and finished her certification in 2012 through DONA International. In 2016 she did her cross certification and is now certified through Doula Training Canada . Carrie also does placenta encapsulations, placenta art, pregnancy Henna and she is in her 2nd year of Childbirth Education certification. She is very passionate about all things pregnancy and birth related whether it’s educating women during their pregnancies, supporting them through their births, encapsulating placentas, or helping women with breastfeeding support. When she’s not doing counter-pressure on a labouring woman, or filling capsules with placenta powder, Carrie enjoys spending time with her 3 boys, drawing, writing and baking.
